Life Doesn’t Suck!

Give, & it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, & shaken together, & running over …
Luke 6:38

Nature Abhors a Vacuum

Do you ever wonder why your good isn’t rushing to you? Do you find yourself asking,
“Where’s my abundance? Where’s my soul-mate? Where’s my perfect employment?”

We often block our good by not making room for it. My soul-mate can’t get to me until I give up the pain from my previous relationship. My good is poised, waiting for me, but has to keep waiting until I am ready to accept it.

In Hawaii, where I used to live, I gave 16 boxes of books to the local library. These books represented my past & had little to do with my current life. Soon after that, I moved to the mainland to become a minister. I made many new friends. Some of these friends went on long trips abroad & gave me their personal libraries. I ended up with 3 times the number of books I left behind in Hawaii, books that were related to my current interests!

Mavis worked very hard for 20 years as a single parent supporting her children. They had all left home to go away to school except one son. Now Mavis had not dated for 20 years! She didn’t have time. One day, her remaining son told her he had enlisted in the Navy. The day after he left home, Mavis met a man with whom she now has a fulfilling relationship.

AFFIRMATION
Today I examine the closets of my life & determine which things are currently of value to me. I take pleasure to circulate those items that are no longer needed. I know nature abhors a vacuum & as I make room, my good rushes to me. I am thrilled with this knowing.
